Turf Plant Inoculant
TurfMate HC contains the inoculant microorganism
Trichoderma harzianum hybrid strain T-22
TurfMate HC contains a patented, beneficial soil inoculant that
forms a symbiotic relationship with the turfgrass root system and
grass blades. The beneficial organism, Trichoderma harzianum hybrid
strain T-22, grows on or near plant parts creating an optimum
growing environment, which leads to greener more vigorous turf.
TurfMate HC is the only turf inoculant that contains hybrid strain
T-22.
TurfMate HC (T-22):
• Promotes greener turf
• Improves overall plant vigor on greens, tees and fairways
• Improves stand establishment on new seeding and turf recovery
• Increases the beneficial-microbe environment in the soil
• Releases compounds that make soil nutrients more available to the
root system through

regulators and most fungicides (chlorothalonil, metalaxyl,
myclobutanil, strobilurines, PCNB)
• TurfMate HC is compatible with all types of turf
APPLICATION: Begin application when soil temperatures reach 46 – 48
F or when turf begins to grow. Product should be thoroughly watered
into the ground with rainfall or by irrigation when root
colonization is desired. Reapplication should be made monthly at the
rates given below (or at half rates every two weeks) until turf
becomes dormant. The first two applications of the season should be
watered in to ensure adequate root colonization. When foliar
colonization is desired, apply every two weeks and do not irrigate
after application. One 4-lb. box of TurfMate HC will treat one acre
of turf (at 1.5-oz/1,000 sq. ft).
First Application: 1.5 ounces per 1,000 sq. ft

Second Application: 1.5 ounces per 1,000 sq. ft
(greens, fairways, tee boxes)
Following Applications: 1.0 ounces per 1,000 sq. ft
(0.5 oz. on fairways & tee boxes)

Greens – 8 ounces Fairways/Tee Boxes – 6 ounces
TurfMate HC is fully compatible with fertilizers and can be tank
mixed and applied when feeding. Screens, with mesh size smaller than
80 mesh, should be removed prior to use. Constant agitation of the
spray tank will ensure uniform dispersal. It is recommended that
TurfMate HC be thoroughly mixed into 3 – 5 gallons of water in a
bucket prior to pouring into the spray tank. Adding a surfactant or
wetting agent to the water in the bucket before mixing in the
wettable powder will aid in its suspension. Store TurfMate HC below
75 F; refrigerate or freeze for maximum shelf life.
